Child & Adolescent Therapy

The first step is finding a therapist that is a good fit. I work with children and adolescents going through transitions, family changes, struggling with anxiety, depression, school issues, disruptive behavior and trauma. When children and teens experience emotions or engage in behaviors that interfere with their happiness and ability to thrive, they may benefit from meeting with a mental health therapist. Therapy can help a child process their feelings, gain insight, strengthen communication, learn to resolve conflict appropriately and learn new coping strategies.

Individual Therapy

I work with individuals to promote change, move through challenging transitions and increase mental wellness. Difficult life transitions can take a devastating toll on your mind, body and spirit. These transitions may cause or exacerbate symptoms such as depression, anxiety, irritability, difficulty focusing, social withdrawal, and sleep disturbances. If you are struggling and having difficulty managing then therapy may be helpful for you. Therapy can help in processing emotions, understanding your feelings and behaviors, developing problem solving strategies, and learning new ways to cope. I encourage active exploration as well as help clients find practical solutions. I tailor counseling to each client’s particular needs, goals and personality style.

Co-Parent Counseling

Children greatly benefit when their parents are able to work together cooperatively. Parents who are separated or divorced can find it difficult to get beyond the conflict or the unhealthy patterns that ended their relationship. Re-configuring the family structure can be equally difficult. Co-parent counseling aims to reduce conflict, improve communication, facilitate positive parenting and create a working relationship between parents in order to focus on the needs of the child.

Sessions and rates

My fees range from $150-180 per session, depending on the service provided. Sessions are 50 minutes unless otherwise agreed upon. Fees will be established during the initial phone conversation, prior to our first session. Payment is due at the time of service and can be made by cash or check.

For PPO or HMO provider panels, some PPO and HMO members have benefits through a "point of service" or "out-of-network" option. If this is the case, I can provide you a statement of services rendered, known as a “superbill” for your own submission.
